The Second City Alumnus recently hosted Mark Burnett’s new game show Spin Off, which aired in Canada and the U.S. She has appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and her comedy specials have aired on Comedy Central, HBO, Showtime, CTV, CBC and The Comedy Network.
Kurt has written for George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight, This Hour Has 22 Minutes, for the CBS pilot and HBO special for Ellen DeGeneres, and various awards shows. In addition to her mainstream success, Kurt continues to perform lives shows across North America and is one of North America’s hottest college comedy acts.
You can hear her each week on CBC Radio’s number one hit show Q, where she gets real curating the unreal Cultural Hall of Shame.
“Laugh Out! promises to be a side-splitting romp,” says Point Black Entertainment Executive Producer Howard Blank.
“We are so excited to welcome Elvira Kurt to Vancouver Pride’s official comedy show,” says VPS Executive Director Ray Lam. “Laughter has always been vital to bringing Vancouver’s Pride Community together.”
